Bachelet-Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos De La Boudriotte 2019
750ml
Rare Wine
The "La Boudriotte" plot from the middle slope often produces wines that are darker in colour than Clos Saint-Jean, with concentrated flavours and delicate structures, delicate aromas and rounded flavours. Cherry, sweet spice and violet floral aromas are crisp and juicy on the palate, with smooth and light tannins and a slightly savory finish on the finish. It is aged in wooden barrels (20-25% new) for 12 to 14 months.
The late Clive Coates, the renowned Master of Wine, once said, "Ramonet's white wines are as high as Henri Jayer's red wines from the DRC." Balanced and elegant, with a more concentrated flavour profile, all wines are aged in some new casks, mostly 20 to 25 percent, and Grand Cru wines sometimes reach 46 percent. The barrel age time is 14 to 17 months.
