Domaine Gérard Peirazeau is fortunate to be blessed with the precious plots from Robert Groffier’s original estate, and the future can only be better with Sophie Charlopin on board. Afterall, she is the daughter of Philippe Charlopin, a student and close friend of the great Henri Jayer. Philippe founded his eponymous winery in 1977 and has an impressive portfolio of Grand Crus that include the Clos-Saint-Denis Grand Cru.
Hailing from the home turf of Domaine Gérard Peirazeau, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis range featured today includes a village red, a rare village white, Les Genavrières 1er Cru and the Clos-Saint-Denis Grand Cru. It is worth noting that these are nowhere to be found on the secondary market, which might bode well for recipients of today’s offer as rising popularity can only push prices higher!
